Melissa Powell
I am a registered nurse and mental health advocate with oncology, public health, patient safety, and healthcare quality improvement experience. I am currently completing a PhD in Nursing. My dissertation focuses on nurses' psychological trauma during and post the COVID-19 pandemic. I hope to center my future career around researching the nursing workforce, including nurse well-being, the workplace, and support resources needed to sustain and promote the nursing profession and the quality of care patients receive.
