philip M ferris-day
I am a lecturer in mental health nursing at Massey University, New Zealand. I have extensive experience working in both academic and clinical settings in New Zealand and Australia. In Australia, I worked in the Torres Straits and the Cape York region and then as a principal mental health educator for the Queensland Centre for Mental Health Learning.
I am currently completing a doctorate researching the experiences of men accessing rural mental health support. I am using a single embodied case study methodology that includes a critical discourse approach alongside Foucault's concept of power.
