Flourishing is the highest good of all persons, but hard to achieve in complex societal systems. Nurses and midwives spend a significant part of their lives at work and so the need to pay attention to the conditions that facilitate flourishing at work is important.  Drawing on ancient and contemporary philosophies, as well as critical, creative and embodied ways of knowing, I will explore how a flourishing practice eco system can be enabled.
